With a 70 percent approval rating, Beebe appears to be the exception in the current anti-Democratic, anti-incumbent political climate.

Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe spoke with University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff students in the student union Thursday as part of a last-minute campaign swing through the state.

Friday will be a big day for Jonesboro and Northeast Arkansas as NORDEX USA officially opens its plant here. After a morning plant tour and ceremony for invited guests, including Gov. Mike Beebe, NORDEX will open the wind turbine manufacturing plant to the public from 4-6 p.m.
